How's it going, and welcome to the web page for Dave's Guitar Shop and Bakersfield Guitar. I'm Dave Neufeld, sole employee, owner, technician, repairman, trashman, and resident rent payer.  I was born and raised in Bakersfield (yes, I'm older than dirt...) I started playing guitar about 35 years ago and have always done repairs and set ups for people. It was a knack I had, but I did get alot of chances to talk to (and observe) the local guitar gurus and legends. I learned alot from Gene Moles, Dale Sheehan, and even had the honor to talk with Bill Gruggett once or twice. These are the guys that built Mosrite guitars when Mosrite was making guitars here in Bakersfield. These guys are real luthiers, they are artists, and great guys to boot. They made high quality guitars from scratch. The craftsmanship is incredible. Gene has pased away, Dale retired and moved to Oklahoma, and Bill is still here but he's kind of taking it easy, and I don't blame him a bit. We all miss their talent and presence.... 

I intend to carry on the idea of friendly, quality, quick return service in the Bakersfield and Kern County area. I've been doing it this long, why the heck would I change now
